Metallica to work on new album

After 5 years of absence of the recording studios, Metallica is ready to come back, as said Kirk Hammet recently in an interview.

The guitarist said the band will return to the studio in a couple of weeks and they all have plenty of ideas for the new album. Hammet also recognizes that they have pretty much come up with every sort of excuse to don't record new material but all the excuses are run out and it's time to start working.

Maybe we don't know the release date of the album, or month, but at least now we know they will finally get into work.

Foo Fighters has returned to the studio and they are already recording the material for their eighth album. To make it official, the band posted a photo on their social media sites of some master tapes from the project.

The last year in an interview, the frontman of the band, Dave Grohl, talked about the new album: "It’s badass. We’re doing something that nobody knows about, it’s fucking rad. We begin recording soon, but we’re doing it in a way that no one’s done before and we’re writing the album in a way that I don’t think has been done before."

The release date has not been revealed so far now and we cannot wait to listen to the Foo Fighters' new album.

Brian May Doesn't Has Cancer

Recently, Brian May, Queen guitarist, declared he suffered of "bad pains in the backside" which led him to undergo a series of some blood test, ultrasounds and various kinds of scans to see if the doctors could rule out various kinds of cancer.

Before the possibility of the disease, May noted: "Now, on hearing the 'C' word something happens inside you … of course. I've seen so many of my dear friends fighting it … and my Dad lost his battle at age 66, exactly the age I am now."

However, the good news arrived for him due to he received a call from his specialist who told him was clear of cancer. "I got a great call from my specialist. He said, 'I have good news: the result of your prostate biopsy is here, and we did not find any cancer cells", said May.

Two thumbs up for Brian May!!

Jason Newsted tells his story: Why I left Metallica?

More than ten years after, the ex bassist of Metallica, Jason Newsted, finally has revealed the reasons why he left the band.

"I've never told this story, I'm not sure if I should tell it now, actually," Newsted said. The musician shares that the management of Metallica was very excited about Echobrian, one of the Newsted's side projects, and they wanted to take it out for him but also continue with Metallica.

Newsted noted that Echobrain was a project totally different than Metallica and it wouldn't affected the band at all, but when James Hetfield heard about it he was not happy. The bassist believes Hetfield didn't think same way and, rather, it would affect Metallica because now the managers were interested in something else where he was not included.

As well, Newsted said that a couple of days after Hetfield heard about it the managers called him and told him they were not going be able to help him with Echobrain.

Newsted's idea about the motives for the Hetfield's reaction is he was protecting what he valued, attitude which leaded the story just like it happened. If he had, was this the correct attitude for Hetfield? What you think about it?

Rare footage of Nirvana's final concert in Los Angeles revealed

After 20 years the documentary maker, Dave Markey, has revealed a rare footage he shot in the last Nirvana's concert at Los Angeles' Great Western Forum in December 20, 1993. At that time, Nirvana was in the middle of touring "In Utero" album.

In his own words, Markey commented about the video:

"20 years ago tonight (December 30, 1993) I stood on Kurt's side of the stage at my hometown's Los Angeles Forum and captured the last set I would see of this band. A band that I had worked with, toured with; people that I would call my friends. A band that both the world and myself really loved (can't really say this has happened since.) Within just a few short months it would sadly all be over. Sharing a few songs here; a couple covers (Vaselines' "Jesus" & Bowie's "Man Who Sold The World") and All Apologies. I'm glad to have documented this show, as well as their pre-fame fun in 1991".

If you are one of the persons who attended this concert, we are sure this footage will bring you some memories.

Queens Of The Stone Age Ready To Plan Their Next Album

Josh Homme, frontman of Queens Of The Stone Age, is determined to work on their new album this year and not letting pass five years like they did after Era Vulgaris.

So far now, Homme said they have more than enough songs and the band is booked until September but after that they plan to jump back in the studio and start recording.

Their past year album, ...Like Clockwork, was so outstanding that it is considered one of the greatest albums of 2013, occupying the 6th rank of the 50 Best Albums of 2013, according to Rolling Stone, so they must not miss this momentum. The big question is: what could we expect for this next project? We'll wait and see.
